VIDEO: 80-year-old man killed Uber driver who he said was going to rip him off

In Ohio, UNITED STATESA man of 81 years old age attack to one driver of the taxi service platform Uber because he thought the 61-year-old woman was actually trying to scam himbecause before arriving home, he had received a phone call where he was being pressured into handing over a large sum of money.

The elderly man was identified as William Brock who was arrested after murdering the driver called Loletha Room when he fired the gun with which he had first threatened her to leave the entrance to her house, a situation that was recorded by the security camera installed in the car.

The extortion call that upset the elderly person

Moments before the incident, Brock received a phone call from a person who identified himself as an employee of the local courthouse. The scammer informed the elderly man that a relative of his had been arrested and so he would need to give up a large sum of money in order to be released, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

“Mr. Brock received a fraudulent call from someone pretending to be someone from our courts informing him that a member of his family was incarcerated and that he had bail for a significant amount of money,” reportedly said Lt. Kristopher Shultz. by the Daily Mail.

The police lieutenant explained that the extortion call continued and now the scammer told William Brock that they were holding his relative hostage to put even more pressure, so now it was a matter of a ransom demand to free the allegedly kidnapped relative.

The old man shot the taxi driver

The scammer continued his plan and told the victim he would send an Uber to give him money so he could see a family member again. Loletha Hall made the delivery trip to pick up the order and bring it to the scammer, unknowingly the driver arrived at Brock’s house.

Once she arrived, the woman was greeted by William Brock who kicked her out of her home and threatened her with a gun. In the video, you can see the man pushing the woman away thinking she was part of the million dollar scam. In front of his home, the elderly man shot dead the taxi driver who apparently had nothing to do with the crime.
