8-year-old girl dies after dental visit

What seemed like a routine visit to the dentist ended fatally for Salomé, a little girl of only 8 years old, who Died by choking on his own blood in a case that moved Colombia.

The events took place on August 4 in the department of Tolima, in central Colombia, when Azucena Triana took her baby girl to the dentistfor he constantly complained of a toothache.

The doctor, identified as José Herrera, asked to take x-rays of the girl to find out the extent of the damage to her teeth. Knowing the results, the doctor decided to operate on him the same day.

However, after removal of the affected tooth, little Salome started bleeding profusely. Given the extent of the bleeding, Herrera offered to urgently transfer the girl to a nearby hospital, where she lost her life.

“The girl was still alive. She got into the hospital alive, but they couldn’t do anything for her, because he choked on his own bloodthe little girl’s mother told local media.

The cause of Salome’s death is unknown.
