A ‘true crime’ lover murdered a woman out of ‘curiosity about the murder’

In South Korea, a frightening event shook society. Jung Yoo-jung, a fan of detective stories or true crime, murdered a woman and dismembered her body, a crime she committed out of “curiosity about the murder”, according to authorities and confirmed by local media. This 23 year old made the disturbing decision to turn fiction into reality. Jung found his victim through an app designed to connect parents with private tutors. Using this platform, she falsely presented herself as the mother of a high school student, with the intention of obtaining English lessons for her alleged daughter. I had it all planned

Jung’s strategy was cunning and disruptive. She bought a school uniform online and dressed up as a student, posing as her fictional daughter. Arrived at the tutor’s house, he executed his chilling plan: stabbed the woman to death. It happened on May 26.

The crime did not stop there. Jung returned home after buying trash bags and bleach, used to dismember the girl, whose name has not been revealed, and dumping the remains in the Nakdong River. To fake a disappearance, Jung stole the phone, her ID card and the woman’s wallet.

However, his actions raised suspicion. A taxi driver alerted the police, which led to the discovery of bloodstained clothes in bags and body parts at Jung’s home.
