Latinos continue to conquer the world in music, but in cinema they are not far behind, there are more and more franchises with casts full of diversity and which emphasize the cultures of central Americalike the new band “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” who was shot in Peru and that says a lot about the importance of the union.

“The message of this film is that cultures can coexist and live together. The world today doesn’t do a very good job of that and so we wanted the ancient culture of the Incas to really feel that and the indigenous people who are in the film to have that sense of time passing… We have to find a way to work together,” said the producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventurawho has been part of this franchise since its inception.

Di Bonaventura recently shot in Mexico another action movie, so he knows and knows the quality of the work that is being done in the country. Because of this, he said he would like to bring more projects to shoot here, including a “Transformers” tape.

“As we always try to do big things, it’s big and famous. So Teotihuacán would be a fantastic place to have a baby. It would be beautiful and it would also look like something big that belongs in a movie like ‘Transformers’ …”, said the producer.

The director of this new film, Steven Caple Jr., went further on the shooting in Mexico, since he recalled that when the film was in development, one of the places that was mentioned was this country and it saw several nice places to shoot: “There are a lot of different places and sizes for a big robot. So it will be great to steal toys.

The film also has a Mexican touch, since the voice of “Wheeljack” is done by Cristo Fernández de Jalisco, who thinks it would be amazing to film something from this saga in the country, so he hopes they will take it into account. . . Protagonists Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, “Noah Díaz” and “Elena Wallace” in fiction, have also declared themselves fans of Mexico, especially Díaz, who has been to several places before. In the plot, they travel to Peru to try to save the Earth from dark forces, and the great battle takes place in and around Machu Picchu.

On the importance of showing more Latinos in this type of blockbuster film, Dominique said that it was very inspiring for new generations: “I always wanted to be an actress, but the protagonist never looked like me. So I didn’t think I could do it, but that’s it. So being here to talk to you is amazing.”
