Semujeres sheds light on the results of mechanisms to combat gender-based violence

The government of Mexico, led by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaumin collaboration with the Secretariat for Women (semujeres) led by Ingrid Gómez Saracíbar have worked to create programs that benefit the women’s safety with the aim of preventing gender-based violence, highlighted some of the achievements of the actions implemented.

Among the programs implemented on the instructions of the Head of Government are: SOS Women line *765the creation of Attorney against feminicidesthe construction of Safe trailsthe law “The Abuser Leaves the House”the work of Women lawyers in the Public Ministries or the promotion of law of olympiaas part of the actions carried out in conjunction with the activation of the Violence Against Women Alert.

Similarly, Sheinbaum Pardo sought eradicate violence within government institutionsthrough mechanisms that enhance women’s participation, in addition to preventing them from being harassed or raped by their own partners.

Thanks to Twitter, the semujeres recalled the results of this program promoted by Claudia Sheinbaum: “Last year, in the #Semujeres, we created the cell of #AbogadasDeLasMujeres for the processing of protection measures in family matters. Today 54 girls, boys and teenagers are celebrating #May 10, 2023 with their mothers, thanks to the fact that we were able to recover them”, she underlined.

Likewise, they pointed out that the 70% of service users offered by the agency they are motherswho “strive every day so that themselves, their daughters and their sons get out of the circle of violence”, with the full support and care that is provided in the MOONS and in coordination with the Women lawyers.

In this way, mothers and their children can develop in a healthy environment and do not live in fear of suffering gender-based violence. They reminded the public that when they file a complaint with the prosecution against one of the CDMX mayors, they can count on the support of these litigants.
