Fire breaks out in Russian fuel depot

A fire broke out at a Russian fuel depot in Belgorod, according to Vyacheslav Gladkov, regional governor, on his Telegram channel this Friday morning (1). The region borders Ukraine. Even without providing evidence, Gladkov accused Ukraine of being behind the fire.

According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire consumed the fuel tanks. Two employees were injured in the fire but are not at risk. Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov said the president Vladimir Putin is aware of what happened.

Also according to CNN, Dmitry Peskov said that measures are already being taken. “You know that the Ministry of Emergency Situations was sent there. Measures are being taken to reorganize the fueling points so that what happened in no case affects the level of supply of all types of fuel needed.”

On February 24, the Russian government invaded Ukraine and bombed parts of the country. After several threats, Vladimir Putin authorized attacks by land, air and sea. One of the reasons for this invasion is the rapprochement between Ukraine and the West and since then the conflicts have not stopped.
