Through social networks, photographs have circulated where blockages are reported at various points of the highway in municipalities such as Mexticacán, Tepatitlán, Valle de Guadalupe, Jalostotitlán, Teocaltiche and Cañadas de Obregón. According to initial information, it is presumed that these violent incidents began around 6 p.m. in the municipality of Teocaltiche.
According to the public prosecutor’s statement, the first of the events was registered on the free federal road 80 from Guadalajara to San Luis Potosí, in the section that includes Tepatitlán to Valle de Guadalupe, at kilometer 98, around 8:00 p.m. hours.
“The Municipal Police of Tepatitlan of Morelos who went to the Delegation of Pegueros, were informed that several individuals aboard three vans blocked the traffic of a motorist and robbed him of his Tsuru brand vehicle, model 1994, which was on fire and obstructing traffic in the direction of Jalostotitlán. During this same event, another Ford Type 350 truck was located, with the cabin on fire,” the statement said.
Again this week, the security coordinator, Ricardo Sánchez Beruben, said that the clashes between state and federal elements are taking place because of the surveillance strategy within the municipalities.
The second of the events was recorded in the Temacapulín delegation towards Cañadas de Obregón, around 7:45 p.m., where the National Guard located a white Volkswagen Delivery brand car, on fire and with its tires barred, obstructing several of the traffic lanes.
The third event was recorded in the municipality of Teocaltiche
The third event took place around 7:30 p.m., on the Juárez Boulevard, in the El Puente neighborhoodof the municipality of Teocaltiche.
“Elements of the municipal police received the report mentioning the detonation of firearms and upon their arrival at the point They located a black RAM truckmodel 2021, without license plates and with a report of theft in the state of Zacatecas, and a white car Chevrolet Silverado 2500, model 2018 with license plates from the state of Aguascalientes, also with a theft report, both with firearm marks on their bodywork”.
Additionally, the location of a Green Hummer, also shotin the parking lot of a nearby self-service store, the data of which continues to be verified.
For now, it has been added that officers of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Investigative Police attached to the Regional Office of the Special Prosecutor of Districts II and III carry out the corresponding procedures in the areas and that experts from the Institute of forensic sciences of Jalisco carry out the work of fixing and collecting evidence which will be integrated into the investigation file.
