Koo reveals the meaning of the name: ‘It’s not what you think’

Koo, an Indian social network that took off after rumors surfaced that Twitter was about to die, has released a fun publication aimed at new Brazilian members of the platform.

The name of the social network was the topic of the day on Twitter itself, occupying the top of the most commented topics on the platform. Brazilians’ interest in the platform started generating several Internet memes, and Koo’s Twitter profile issued a warning that the name “isn’t what you think.”

“To our friends from Brazil! Koo is the sound of this beautiful yellow bird. It’s not what you think it is,” the tweet reads, followed by emojis.

After the definitive takeover of Elon Musk and the various instabilities since then, Twitter is going through a complicated phase, with various controversies and immeasurable chaos within it. Against this, several users are testing some platforms that can be the “replacement” of the blue bird network, as is the case with the Koo App.

After the major backlash from Mastodon, the Indian social network gained strength this Friday (18th). In addition to showing many similarities with Twitter, the name of the application has gone viral among Brazilians and the jokes, as expected, are endless.
