The cannabis platform claims to have raised over $ 1 billion in transactions

A cannabis wholesaler, LeafLink, says its payment revenue has led to transactions of more than $ 1 billion since the company began operations in March 2016.

LeafLink is a business-to-business platform of the cannabis industry that helps cannabis distributors and retailers manage their operations, create, pay and ship their orders.

Additionally, more states in the United States are moving towards liberalizing the sale of recreational cannabis, underscoring the continued support and demand for cannabis from the blockade imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As cannabis evolves rapidly, it is essential that our platform keeps pace with the changing needs of our clients while providing critical liquidity to the industry,” said Ryan Smith, CEO and co-founder of LeafLink.

Backed by venture capital firms and investors including Founders Fund, Thrive Capital, Nosara Capital and Lerer Hippeau, LeafLink has raised more than $ 131 million in equity to date, as well as a $ 250 million line of credit.
