Has Instagram crashed? Meta’s social network has problems this Monday (15)

Brazilian users have difficulty accessing Instagram. The social media platform appears to be unstable, with reports of issues starting to emerge on social media late on the morning of Monday, April 15.

Downdetector, the platform specializing in identifying flaws in social networks, websites and applications, reports a spike in problem reports starting from 10am this Monday. The problem does not appear to be global.

Some users report problems updating the social network’s feed, while others report difficulties posting to Stories. Some users have wondered whether Instagram has “fallen again”, showing the social network’s recent history of failures, which has constant problems.

To date, Instagram has not released any official statement regarding the cause of the problem or the estimated time for resolution.

Instagram has announced an update to Notes, a feature located in the social network’s messages field, which will give more prominence to the tool.
