When you tap the blue circle, which indicates your exact location, Google gives you the option to find out where you left your car parked. This option is useful for both street and closed parking, as you can enter the place code in the app notes.

In some cities, such as Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Google informs you about public transport schedules. To do this, simply select a station or bus stop and check the history. In some cases, however, the service only tells you the expected arrival date of buses, subways, trains and the like.

When checking information on a hotel, inn, and the like, you can check the daily rate through Google Maps itself, available on services like Booking, Hotéis.com, and the like. By tapping one of these options, the user is also directed to the website where the service was contracted.

Are you going to pick up someone or are you going somewhere dangerous? With Google Maps, users can share their journey with other people, so their friends, family and the like can check the location of their mobile phone during the journey. To do this, while browsing, simply open the menu and tap “Share trip”.

Google also records the places you visit if you keep this option turned on. With the feature you will be able to check on Google Maps where you have been, the means of transport you used to get around and much more. This option can remind you of a recently visited place or help you find lost items, for example.

Just like browsers, Google Maps offers an incognito mode to search for places and the like without generating history. This option is available in the application menu, activated by the profile photo, with the name “Activate anonymous browsing”.

Furthermore, through the main menu of the app, via the “Offline Maps” option, it is possible to download the map information to access it without an internet connection. The feature helps locate you when you travel to a location that doesn’t have Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, 5G, and the like.

In the top left corner of the map, Google Maps offers an icon to check the weather forecast for the region. By pressing it you also have access to an estimate of the next few hours, to analyze before leaving home whether it will rain or not during the journey.

Through the application settings there is the “Electric vehicle settings” option to choose the type of car battery charger. This alternative personalizes the application experience to make it easier, for example, to find charging points. Google Maps currently offers the following options: “J1772”, “CCS (Combo 1)”, “Type 2”, “CCS (Combo 2”), “CHAdeMO”, “Tesla” and “Electrical Outlet”.
