ChatGPT is missing and OpenAI doesn’t clarify it

As has been reported many times, ChatGPT can be wrong. Indeed, OpenAI’s chatbot often fails, but the company is doing little to address the limitations of its artificial intelligence (AI) software. The only caveat given by the company is that the program “may occasionally generate incorrect information.”

Misinformation and lies

The role of OpenAI

OpenAI seems not to have assimilated the size of its chatbot and the use made of it by users. Many turn to technology for health reasons, academic research, or, as in the lawyer’s case, legal materials.

In May, another case of a Texas teacher who used ChatGPT to test whether students were using technology to write essays nearly disappointed all the students. This is because the chatbot claimed to have been misused, but also lacks the ability to do this type of verification and just made up an answer, which almost led to the disapproval of an entire class.

However, the company did not clarify that the software actively lies and invents information and cannot be considered 100% effective even in queries.

search engine

This is because ChatGPT is not a search engine. Users use it like Google precisely because OpenAI failed to explain that, in fact, the chatbot is like a virtual assistant. He will confidently say any information, even invented.
