Brazil meets opponents in the 1st phase of the 3×3 Basketball World Cup
The Brazilian 3×3 basketball team already knows which opponents it will face in the initial phase of the World Cup of the sport, the first of the Olympic cycle for the Paris 2024 Games. The event will take place from June 21 to 26 in Antwerp (Belgium). In the men’s dispute, the national team is in Group A, alongside Serbia (three-time world champions from 2016 to 2018), France, Puerto Rico and New Zealand.

In the women’s competition, the Brazilians will face the United States (current Olympic champion) Austria, France (bronze in 2018 and 2019) and New Zealand that make up the B group. of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), in Mies (Switzerland).
The competition will bring together 20 teams in each gender. According to the regulations, the top two in each group advance to the quarter-finals and then the semi-finals and final.
Attendance at the Paris Olympics depends on the ranking of the teams. There will also be a Pre-Olympic, a last chance for countries that were out of 3×3 basketball in the last two editions of the Olympic Games.
