In 2022, the Corinthians fan celebrates ten years since Libertadores stopped being a ghost to become a source of pride. Three players from the current squad were part of the undefeated champion team of America in 2012: goalkeeper Cássio, winger Fábio Santos and midfielder Paulinho. If the commander of that title was Tite, currently in the Brazilian team, the Portuguese Vitor Pereira is the one who has the mission to seek the second championship.

Corinthians is in Group E of Libertadores, with Argentine Boca Juniors (beaten by Timão in the 2012 final), Colombian Deportivo Cali and Bolivia’s Always Ready.
