China claims to have created the technology for laser weapons of infinite power

Chinese military complaint have significantly advanced the development of laser weapons, thanks to a state-of-the-art cooling system created by the country’s National University of Defense Technology. With it, high-energy equipment can stay powered up indefinitely without overheating, according to the developers.

Laser technology has been around for decades, but the excess heat generated by these highly energized beams often makes them difficult to use as a weapon in real conflicts. Now, if the potential of the cooling system is confirmed, everything could change a lot (mainly, in terms of battles), with the laser beams being able to extend in terms of engagement time, range and damage.

According to information, the new cooling system created by the Chinese military uses gas to remove excess heat. Basically, gas is released along with the laser beam with each shot.

Consequently, in addition to eliminating one of the major obstacles to the development of laser weapons, the technology would allow to maintain the precision of the shots, with the beam remaining active for an “infinite” time, if necessary. And without losing power or distorting.
