Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s Baby Name Revealed!

The couple from the boyband and , actress, singer and philanthropist, is one of Hollywood’s darlings. The couple, despite the difference of 10 years, started dating in May 2017 and, shortly after, in 2018, they were already engaged and planning a wedding with three (!) ceremonies.

At the beginning of the year 2022, Priyanka and Nick announced that they were welcoming their first child, fathered by a surrogate. Despite announcing the baby’s arrival through posts on their Instagram, however, they asked for privacy and did not reveal the little girl’s name, until today.

According to documents found by the American TMZthe couple’s first child is named . Malti is a name of Indian origin, a name highly used by Hindus. The name has a natural meaning, according to websites: Malti means moonlight or fragrance of small flowers.

Meanwhile, the daughter’s second name, Marie, is a biblical name, which derives from the name of Jesus’ mother in the bible, Mary. The name originally means starfish.

On the birth certificate obtained by TMZ, it is also revealed that Malti Marie was born at 8 pm on January 15, in a hospital in San Diego, in the United States. The baby is a Capricorn!

“We are more than happy to have welcomed our baby through a surrogate. We ask for privacy during this special time so we can focus on our family. Thank you!” said Priyanka and Nick in their Instagram posts.
