To begin to address the issue, the first thing to bear in mind is that recipients of the social assistance pension for the elderly they still have a claim pending payment corresponding to 2022which will cover the payment of the two-month period from November to December and during this period the beneficiaries they will charge a total of 3 thousand 850 pesoshowever, this will be the last time they charge this amount, as It will be from the January-February 2023 bimonthly period when they will receive a higher amount.
How much money will seniors earn with the increase in 2023?
As mentioned earlier, currently the social pension for the elderly provides a total of 3,850 pesos, but if we apply the 25% increase, we get the amount that the beneficiaries of this program will receive from 2023, which would be set at 4 thousand 812 bimonthly pesos.
It should be mentioned that the President of the Mexican Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reiterated a few days ago that this will not be the limit on the amount of social pension for the elderly, since he pointed out that For the last straight line of his administration, that is to say in 2024, the beneficiaries of this program will receive approximately 6,000 pesos every two months.
When can I join Pension Bienestar?
On Monday August 15, the period of incorporation of the welfare pension for the elderly ended, during which all persons who were or are 65 years of age or older during the months of July and August 2022 were recorded, however, The new dates for applying to be a beneficiary of this program have not yet been announced.however, it is tentatively expected to be until October, when people who turn 65 or over during the months of September and October will be incorporated.
