The Secretary of Social Protection, Ariane Montielreminded people who will turn 65 between November 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024 to go to the Well-being Modules to register for the Elderly Pension, since December 23 will be the last day to complete the procedure.

Through a statement, the owner indicated that elderly people can go to one of the two thousand 96 modules that exist throughout the Mexican Republic, which provide care between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. noon. In addition, it is necessary to consult the official website of the secretariat to locate the nearest module.

What are the necessary conditions to process social pension?

Montiel Reyes explained that it is important to have the following documentation so that the procedure can be carried out correctly, among which are the following:

  • Official identification.
  • Birth certificate.
  • CURP recently printed.
  • Proof of address dated less than six months ago and a personal and mobile telephone number.

“Elderly people have the right to register an auxiliary person to represent them in the procedures, who must meet the same requirements,” the secretary concluded.

How much will social pension deposits be in 2024?

According to forecasts by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, next year the amount received by social pension beneficiaries will increase.

By 2023, seniors will receive 4,800 pesos every two months from their card. These resources were delivered without intermediaries.

Regarding the projection for 2024, beneficiaries were promised that this figure would rise to six thousand pesos every two months. This program aims to support the economy of millions of people who reach old age and cannot continue to work, whether or not they receive other pensions.
