Debanhi Escobar case: authorities confirm cause of death of 18-year-old girl

In a press conference, Gustado Adolfo Guerrero Gutiérrez, Attorney General of the State of Nuevo León, explained that after carrying out several scientific tests, it was possible to determine that the body found in a water tank located in the garden of Nueva Castilla Motel coincides with the Debanhi DNA.

According to information released by the authorities, the cause of death of the young woman was due to a deep contusion of the skull. They also stressed that no line of investigation is excluded and that if there is a crime it will be punished.

Authorities also detailed the times she got out of the car, Alcocer asked for transportation assistance. They confirmed that it was the local workers who noticed the smell coming from the place where the body was found.

They said due process had been followed and that they will keep relatives and society informed of progress on the young woman’s death.

Debanhi Escobar’s family will seek justice

Mario Escobar, father of Debanhi assured that the subject and the friends have been questioned, but that their versions had changed. It also turned out that none had been arrested.

As the days went by, more details were revealed such as Debanhi would have walked a few meters to a transport company where he is supposed to have entered but never exited. It was refused amid other speculations which have led to searches in other points such as the Constitution Condominium Unitin the center of Monterrey, the Motel Nueva Castillelocated a short walk from where the driver left Debanhi and a wasteland where there is a well.
