Through his official Instagram account, Claudia SheinbaumNational Defense Coordinator of the Fourth Transformation, shared a new “funko” figurine that his supporters gave himwhich refers to stick delivery by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“Look what a beautiful gift they gave me in Morelia, Michoacán. It’s a funko from the time when our President @lopezobrador gave me the baton of Defense of the Fourth Transformation”, wrote the former president of the capital in a message, which accompanied the text with an image of her when she was given the gift.
According to AMLO, the handing over of the baton of command was a symbolic act similar to those given in indigenous communities to their leader, as a metaphorical way that whoever receives it has a responsibility from the people to whom it represents it.
This isn’t the first time Claudia Sheinbaum has received a funko by his supporters. At the start of the year, the former president of the capital shared a photo of a doll that resembled her as the head of the local Executive. “Look at how beautiful they gave me Funko Pops,” the former head of government shared on her social networks on this occasion.
This doll had loose black hair, blue pants, a cherry-colored vest in honor of her political party, and a white t-shirt; alluding to the clothes he usually wore when reviewing the works. Likewise, the box bore the logos of the CDMX government, the name of the former head of government and the position she held at the time as head of the local executive.
This time, Claudia Sheinbaum got a figurine in which she no longer appeared alone, but was accompanied by that of AMLO. For her, this act “represents the deepest values of our living history, of indigenous peoples, I take it with pride and commitment, and with humility but with full responsibility to pursue the set course, that of the transformation that the president initiated “Andrés Manuel López Obrador”.
