In Mexico, each year, 195,499 patients are diagnosed with cancer, of which 14,900 suffer from colorectal cancer (CRC), of which 7,674 die, or 21 people a day, making it the third most common disease and the most frequent. second leading cause of death for this evil in the country.

It occurs almost equally in men and women, it manifests itself from the age of 50, however, nowadays it is increasingly present in younger population. Unfortunately, 70% of cases are detected in late stageswhich considerably reduces the vital prognosis of people who suffer from it and it has been shown that when detected in time, more than 90% of people survive this disease.

What is colorectal cancer?

It is an abnormal growth of malignant cells in the tissues of the colon, rectum and appendix. It can develop from fungus-like growths (polyps), which form on the lining of the colon or rectum.
