Leaked in advance: Xiaomi’s next smartwatch has already been included in European stores, confirming the technical specifications and price of the future Xiaomi Watch 2.
The new device, which will be a cheaper version of the Watch 2 Pro launched last year, is on the market soon and has also been offered in some stores in Belgium and Slovakia. The suggested price should be between 200 euros (approximately R$ 1,000, in direct conversion) and 250 euros (approximately R$ 1,300).
Xiaomi Watch 2: technical specifications
With a 1.33-inch AMOLED screen with 466×466 pixel resolution, the Xiaomi Watch 2 will have a 46mm aluminum body. It will be sold in black and silver versions.
In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is equipped with Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi and NFC — and, apparently, it will not be sold with support for 4G LTE networks.
The main resources should be focused on physical activities and health monitoring. The device has its own GPS and water resistance. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, it runs Google’s Wear OS.
Xiaomi also claims that the Watch 2 has a battery life of up to 65 hours: it is equipped with a 495 mAh component and the life may vary depending on the user’s usage.
Already leaked and available in European stores, the Xiaomi Watch 2 could be made official at any time by the Chinese manufacturer.
