The Central Bank said it had received 36 proposals from more than 100 institutions.
How will it work
In a statement, BC said the tests will put privacy and programmability features into practice.
Still, according to the bank, they will happen through a delivery protocol case against federal public safety payment between customers of different institutions. That is, user participation will be simulated through tokenized (encoded) Real Digital deposits.
The intention is to promote exchange between test takers.
Digital Real
The development and testing phase should be completed by February 2024. The public release still depends on a subsequent evaluation phase.
