
Meta, owner of Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, launched another version of the messaging app for Windows this Wednesday (22nd). You can now make video calls with up to eight people and audio with up to 32.
Additionally, the company has disclosed that it will increase these limits over time. And it ensured that both video and audio calls were protected by end-to-end encryption.

In addition to reaching more people on group calls, this new app loads faster, according to Meta. And the company added that this kind of update comes from user feedback.
Since introducing new features for multiple devices, we’ve listened to your feedback and made improvements, including faster device linking and better syncing between devices, as well as new features like link previews and stickers.

The company also highlighted the security offered by end-to-end encryption, which extends to cross-platform communication between mobile phones, computers and tablets.
Next steps

After launching this revamped application for Windows, Meta aims to improve the experience of using the messaging app on Android tablets and Macs.
