The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has extended the alert for the regions that could be affected by a cold front this Saturday (18th) to 11 states. While the colder air mass will give a break to the record heat, it will bring thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 100 km/h and hail.
In total, the regions under warning for thunderstorms this Saturday (18th) are: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, southern Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Tocantins, Federal District, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul;
