See in detail the explosion of the largest rocket in the world

Starship, the world’s largest rocket, exploded in the sky after launch on April 20. Despite this, the takeoff at the Boca Chica base in Texas was successful and produced incredible images.

A recently released video from SpaceX traces the dramatic launch with never-before-seen footage and different perspectives. On launch day, most of the images were covered in smoke, now you can see below.

The Starship rocket is the greatest promise in space exploration

After long months of waiting, SpaceX launched its fully reusable mega rocket called Starship on March 20. Unfortunately, not everything went as planned.

At 120 meters high, the largest spacecraft ever built in human history – and the most powerful ever – took off from Starbase, the company’s launch base in Boca Chica, Texas.

However, shortly before the separation of the stages, at an altitude of 35 km, a failure occurred, forcing the rocket to self-destruct, which exploded in the air 29 km above the ground.

Specially designed to carry people and cargo to the Moon and Mars, the spacecraft is also expected to be used in a number of other tasks, such as launching most of SpaceX’s next-generation Starlink 2.0 internet satellites into Earth orbit.

The ship hadn’t left the ground for almost two years. In May 2021, a prototype three-engine upper stage called SN15 soared about 10km into the skies above Starbase before returning to Earth in a vertical landing.
