In April of this year, Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) will begin the basification of temporary workers who have seniority of 10 years or more.

The state-owned producing company has informed that it will conclude the administration based on the latest. In February 2022, PEMEX started with the labor stability program and with the delivery of jobs, with the objective of concluding in 2024 with the basicization of approximately 17,000 temporary workers.

The above is the result of the presidential instruction which includes retirement, promotions in ranks and the basicization of transitional staff, starting with those with the greatest seniority (more than 15 years of working time) and in operational categories.

In this sense, and after having made significant progress in the delivery of the bases, the company has called on any PEMEX worker or temporary worker who has been in service for more than 15 years and who has had at least one contract during the 5 years and you have not yet been contacted, you can send your data through the PEMEX Asiste mobile application or to the email [email protected] to analyze your file and, if necessary, recognize your right to basification.

It should be noted that, to make relevant personal and professional information available to workers, as well as to automate their procedures from anywhere, 24 hours a day, the Mexican oil company has launched the mobile application PEMEX Asiste, where they can request your base.

In this sense, the company has indicated that PEMEX Asiste has been the main means through which it receives the messages for its definitive hiring, reinforcing the labor justice that for decades did not exist in the company.

The Mexican oil company has just over 120,000 workers, nearly 100,000 of whom are affiliated with the Trade Union of Petroleum Workers of the Mexican Republic (STPRM), an organization which, according to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has agreed to donate priority to seniority for the granting basis.

Octavio Romero Oropeza, general manager of Petróleos Mexicanos, mentioned that they have worked so that the policy of basicization implemented during this sexennium is maintained permanently.
